. APC has been upgraded from 3.0.10 to 3.0.11 and built using --enable-apc-sem
  as this performs better than the default version using flock to do locking. 

. PHP 5.1.4 includes a number of additional extensions including dom, simplexml,
  PEAR and MySQL Improved (mysqli) extensions.

. The default Apache httpd configurations (httpd.conf and ssl.conf) have been
  modified to include support for PHP and for better performance.

. A default php.ini file is included under the 'lib' sub-directories of the
  php installations.

. The README files for apache2, php5, php5_fastcgi have been updated to
  reflect the above changes.

. The source directories appear exclusively in the source package and have
  been removed from the binary packages.
