Changes you make in this dialog box take effect after the next RSC reset. Current settings appear in the upper pane of the dialog box.
Check this box to disable the RSC Ethernet port.
Choose this option to use the DHCP protocol to configure Ethernet addresses automatically.
Choose this option if you want to specify the RSC Internet address, subnet mask, and default gateway. Then, you must enter those values below this option.
The RSC Ethernet port Internet address.
The RSC subnet mask.
The default gateway to which RSC will send IP packets when the destination is not on the same subnet as RSC.
Checking this box enables 10BASE-T Ethernet link integrity tests. If you are using RSC in a hub that does not support Ethernet link integrity tests or that has them disabled, leave this box unchecked.
RSC and the local hub should have Ethernet link integrity tests enabled or disabled consistently. If this setting is not consistent, communication may not be possible.
Note: The TPE Link Test check box is not available in the graphical user interface when you are connected to RSC on a Sun Enterprise 250 server. To enable 10BASE-T Ethernet link integrity tests on a Sun Enterprise 250 server, use the RSC command line interface or the rscadm utility to set the configuration variable tpe_link_test to true.
